Alumni Representative of the East-West Center Participants Association (EWCPA) (October 2009-September 2010): Acting as liaison between EWCPA and Alumni of the East-West Center; regularly keeping in touch with alums about their programs, activities and opportunities available at the EWC and in the larger community; collaborating with the EWCPA alums in organizing joint activities and programs; assisting in the planning and preparation for any EWCPA-sponsored activity and serving on EWCPA committees as needed.

Huy’s Bio

Dr. PHAM Quang Huy is the lecturer and Chancellor of Dong Thap Community College-DTCC. He got a BA in teaching English from Can Tho University, an MEd in Educational Administration, & PhD in Education from the University of Hawai’i at Manoa, the U.S.A. His research studies are on professional enhancement and school administration. He is a lecturer and a supervisor to students in the Master’s program in Principles and Methods in English Language Education and the Doctoral program in Education. He worked as a teacher of English, counselor, and curriculum coordinator at Hong Ngu No.2 High School; then, at Dong Thap Department of Education and Training, he was a specialist in the Human Resources Division, Secondary Education Division and deputy head and Head of Continuing-Secondary Education Division before moving to work as a Vice-Chancellor, then a Chancellor to DTCC. At the University of Hawai’i at Manoa, he worked as a Graduate Student Assistant to the Dean’s Office, School of Travel Industrial Management; an Operations Analyst at the Facilities Management Office; a Planning Intern at the East-West Center Wednesday Evening Seminar; a Conference Intern of the East-West Center/East-West Center Alumni International Conference; an Alumni Representative of the East-West Center Participants Association-EWCPA; and an Activities Coordinator of EWCPA.
